Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how MovieBoxapp handles information when you use the app, including movie discovery features, optional AI features, and advertising.
Information We Collect
- AI feature inputs (optional): If you enable AI features, you may provide text prompts, voice transcription (for voice features), and/or images you select for image-based discovery.
- Content API requests: When you browse, search, or view content, the app sends content identifiers and search queries to a backend service to retrieve movie metadata and provider availability information from YouTube Data API v3.
- Advertising / consent: The app may show ads using Google AdMob. Depending on region and permissions, consent may be requested using Google UMP and Apple ATT.
- Favorites / history: The app may store favorites and recently viewed titles on your device.
How We Use Information
- Provide movie discovery and playback availability features.
- Enable AI-generated features only after user consent.
- Serve advertising when you have consented (where applicable).
- Maintain and improve the app (security, troubleshooting, and reliability).
Third-Party Services
- YouTube Data API v3: Used for metadata/search and playback availability-related functionality. API usage billing is paid through Google Cloud.
- OpenAI: Used for optional AI features after you enable and consent.
- Google AdMob / Google UMP: Used for advertising and consent management.
